Wrong. It won’t happen. Recently a friend of mine got into some free products by Cody Moya (who seems to have a lot of nice free products) and Mike G aka Michael T. Glaspie and had a problem with one of them. Well, after going through the support process my friend got convinced to buy into some kind of “mentoring” program by ESM, AKA Educational Sales and Marketing, LLC that is affiliated with the Shanklin Group International (which might be this company).
Now there are three entries at RipoffReport this one from 2008, this from 2008 as well, and this one from 2005. Why so many, because the company uses so many different names. There is also this report. Strange that the company claims to only have had 2 complaints in 15 years. If so then why is it that according to my friend, the person at the company said that since the contract says they can charge a 15% cancellation fee within the first 3 days, then they can regardless of what the Utah law states. Of course, nothing has really happened yet (since my friend only just did this), but the investigator for the Utah Consumer Protection Division did seem to be interested in how things went, stressing that ESM had to actually keep the 15% before they could do anything though.
At this point NOBODY has done anything obviously illegal (maybe deceptive, with might be considered fraudulent), just some people are a little upset about this “deal”. The point is that if you think that giving somebody money is going to make you rich, well you better think again.
A good explanation of what it takes to make money online is available at ProgramResearcher.com, which also has a nice explanation of Cody Moya and what he is selling.
